Mosaic Art Workshops

Learn traditional and contemporary mosaic techniques. Create beautiful pieces using colored tiles, glass, and stone. Sessions run year-round in indoor studios across Lisbon and Porto.

Countryside Cycling Tours

Explore Portugal’s rolling hills and quiet country roads at a relaxed pace. Routes range from gentle 15km loops to more challenging 40km rides through Douro Valley and central regions.

Coastal Photography Walks

Capture stunning coastal landscapes with fellow photographers. Learn composition, lighting, and techniques while discovering hidden coves and dramatic cliffs along Portugal’s coast.

Cookbook Club Tastings

Gather monthly to cook, taste, and discuss recipes from cookbooks. Share culinary traditions, discover new cuisines, and build friendships around food and good conversation.

What Our Members Say

Real people sharing their experiences with our community.

“Wasn’t sure about joining a mosaic class at my age, honestly. But everyone was so welcoming and the instructor didn’t make me feel rushed. I’ve been coming back every month for over a year now, and I’ve made some great friends.”

Helena 52, Lisbon

“The cycling tours are perfectly paced. I’m not a serious cyclist, but I love being outside and the routes through the countryside are absolutely beautiful. Plus the group stops for coffee and snacks which makes it feel less like exercise and more like an adventure.”

João 48, Porto

“I’ve always been interested in photography but never had the confidence to try it. The coastal walks have taught me so much, and it’s been wonderful to connect with people who share this passion. Some of my best photos came from these walks.”

Ana 56, Algarve

“The cookbook club is my favorite thing. We don’t just cook — we talk, we laugh, we discover new cuisines together. It’s become a real highlight of my month. The people here get why food matters.”

Marco 50, Covilhã

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about our activities and community.

Do I need experience to join?

Not at all. Our activities are designed for all skill levels. We’ve got absolute beginners and experienced enthusiasts in the same groups, and it works great. Everyone learns at their own pace and helps each other out.

What if I can’t commit to regular events?

That’s fine. Join whenever you can. Some members come to one event a month, others come to several. There’s no membership requirement or minimum attendance. Pick the activities that fit your schedule.

Are the groups mostly men or women?

Our groups are nicely mixed. We’ve got more women in the mosaic and photography activities, and more men in the cycling tours, but everyone’s welcome everywhere. The age range is consistently 40-60 across all activities.

What should I bring to my first event?

It depends on the activity. For mosaic workshops, we provide materials — just bring yourself. For cycling tours, you’ll need a bike and helmet. For photography walks, bring your camera or phone. We’ll give you all the details when you sign up.

How do I find events near me?

We organize activities across Portugal — Lisbon, Porto, Algarve, Douro Valley, and other regions. Check our calendar to see what’s happening in your area. If there’s nothing nearby, get in touch and let us know what you’d like.

Can I suggest a new activity or location?

Absolutely. We’re always looking for new ideas from our community. If you think there’s a gap or a great location we should explore, reach out and share your thoughts.
